NEET Question Format
The NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) question format is structured to assess a candidate’s understanding of subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology). Here’s an overview of the format for NEET preparation
1. Total Questions
– Number of Questions: 200 questions in total (have to attain 180 questions).
– Physics: 50 questions (have to attain 45 questions)
– Chemistry: 50 questions (have to attain 45 questions)
– Biology: 100 questions (Botany and Zoology) (have to attain 90 questions)
2. Question Types
– Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs): Each question has four options, and candidates must choose the correct one.
– Single Correct Answer: Out of the four options, only one is correct.
– Negative Marking: Candidates receive four mark for each correct answer, and there have one negative marking for incorrect answers.
3. Marking Scheme
– Correct Answer: +4 marks
– Incorrect Answer: +1 negative marking
– Unattempted Questions: 0 marks
4. Subjects Covered
- Physics: Questions cover various topics such as Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Electromagnetism, and more.
- Chemistry: Includes Physical, Organic, and Inorganic Chemistry.
– Biology: Focuses on topics from Botany and Zoology, including human biology, plant biology, ecology, and genetics.
